Beloit Senior Legion Bandits rout Lake Geneva 27-4

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. — The Beloit Senior Legion Bandits tuned up for regional action next week by throttling host Lake Geneva 27-4 on Wednesday night.

Carson Pingel, the first of three Beloit pitchers, picked up the victory. The game was scheduled for nine innings, but was called after six.

“We were keeping a scorebook, but the guy doing it ran out of room keeping track of all the runs,” Beloit head coach Brad Farrell said.

Beloit was supposed to play Lake Geneva at the Stateline Family YMCA Youth Sports Complex on Tuesday, but the game was postponed by a soggy outfield after mid-day showers.

Beloit (6-3) has lost 10 games from its schedule due to rain.

Ironically, the Bandits will open regional play at home next Tuesday night by hosting this same Lake Geneva team.
