"Taco Takedown" to spice up Beloit

BELOIT, Wis. -- Geronimo Hospitality Group announced Tuesday a brand-new taco showdown will take over the Ironworks Campus on Aug. 10, dubbed the "Taco Takedown."

From 3-9 p.m., GHG said g uests will have the chance to taste and vote for their favorite taco s, prepared by vendors competing for the prestigious "Taco Takedown Championship Belt." In addition to the competition, the event will also feature live bands and a jalapeno eating contest.

GHG said the Taco Takedown is free to attend, and will have food and drink available for purchase. More information about the schedule of events and vendors can be found on the event website .
