BELOIT, Wis. (WTVO) — A man who was shot in May has died, according to the Rock County Coroner.

Nikkita Green, 49, was shot in the 1200 block of Dewey Avenue around 3:04 a.m. on May 11th.

Police Chief Andre Sayles said the shooting appeared to be an isolated incident, and said there did not appear to be a threat to the public at large.

Green died on July 20th at a care facility, according to Medical Examiner Christina Figueroa Soto. The cause of death is still pending.

Two men, Kevin Payne, 37, and Terey Vance, 42, were captured after a car chase in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in late May in connection with the shooting.

At the time, both Payne and Vance were wanted on 1st-degree attempted homicide charges.
