SHAWNEE, Kan. (KCTV) - An attempt to escape a burning Shawnee home sent one woman to a nearby hospital after she was hit by a car. The Shawnee, Kansas, Fire Department says that just before 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, emergency crews were called to the 7700 block of Nieman Rd., near Advance Auto Parts, with reports of a house fire.
