TWO CHILDREN REPORTED MISSING FOUND SAFE
(Eckles Township, MN) — Two children, ages 7 and 9, were reported missing on Sunday morning between Bemidji and Wilton. The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office reports the children were found safe at a residence in Hubbard County later that day. The investigation is still ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.

Beltrami County DFL Party continues "Pizza and Programs" sessions
Bemidji, Minn. - The Beltrami County Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party is hosting and inviting the public to attend their “DFL Pizza and Programs” sessions, a series of informal discussions and dialogue with invited speakers who are community organizers and leaders. The next session will be held Thursday, July 18, at 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Beltrami County DFL Office (1510 Bemidji Ave N) and features MN DFL Coordinated Campaign staffers. Kimberly Slipy, Regional Organizing Director, and Ben Peterson, Field Organizer, will discuss current issues before voters, including Project 2025. All are welcome.
Humidity threatens delicate relics at the Beltrami Historical Society
BEMIDJI — It’s not so much the heat as the humidity that threatens historic artifacts important to Beltrami County. The city of Bemidji owns the historic Great Northern Depot building, which houses the local museum. Emily Thabes, executive director of the Beltrami County Historical Society, recently asked city officials to help prevent impacts like mildew and stress fractures.
