On July 5th, 1931, Battalion Chief John H. Virnstein of the DC Fire and EMS in Washington, District of Columbia, tragically died in the line of duty. The incident occurred when the roof of a church collapsed during a fire at 2564 Nichols Ave SE, Box 9545. Let us never forget his sacrifice.

Her obit states that she was born in Lancaster, PA, but left for Washington, D.C., in the late 1960s and found work writing radio commercials at the city’s largest agency. Her talent shone, and she received multiple awards for her writing and her uniquely memorable ad campaigns.
