CFPB To Distribute Over $8 Million To Consumers Harmed By All American Check Cashing
In July, 43,647 consumers harmed by All American Check Cashing, Inc., will begin receiving refund checks in the mail. The CFPB took action against the check cashing and payday loan company All American and its owner, Michael Gray, alleging that All American failed to disclose the cost of cashing a check and used deceptive tactics to prevent consumers from canceling or refunding a transaction. The CFPB also alleged that All American made deceptive statements about the benefits of high-cost payday loans and failed to provide refunds after consumers overpaid their loans.

Wiggins man pleads guilty to attempting to sell 96 grams of meth, faces 20 years in prison
WIGGINS, Miss. (WLOX) - 42-year-old Dennis Daughdrill has pled guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, officials announced on Wednesday. According to court documents, on February 16, an investigation revealed that Daughdrill was selling meth from his home in Wiggins. A search of the house uncovered 96 grams of meth as well as a firearm.
