    Family enrichment classes scheduled for July, August, September

    Free Family Enrichment classes will be held at Mt. Zion Church in Bemidji over the next couple of months.

    The classes are July 25, Aug. 8 and 22, and Sept. 5 and 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day.

    Classes are for adult/child/family, aged 12 and up — children must have an adult family member present. All supplies are provided, just bring a painting shirt.

    Les Sanders is a fiscal year 2024 recipient of a Creative Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board.

    July 25

    “Great Courses: How To Draw” class. Learning to draw is a critical ability in almost every walk of life. This class will use the “Great Courses” lessons and exercises to allow students to develop skill and confidence in their drawing abilities.

    Aug. 8, 22

    “Create With Needle Felting” class. Needle felting uses special barbed needles to mat wool roving. Join us as we work on these fun beginner needle felting project. In the first class you will create a colorful birdie. In the second class you will create a fun gnome. Take one class or sign up for both.

    Sept. 5, 19

    “Fun With Alcohol Inks” class. You will learn to enjoy the many ways alcohol inks can be used. This class will focus on landscapes, flowers, and some detailed projects on a variety of surfaces. Take one class or sign up for both.

    This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
