BEND, Ore.. (KTVZ) -- Workers arriving to start the day Monday morning at Lucy's Taco Shop on NE Third Street found an unauthorized man inside. Police arrested the 41-year-old Bend man on second-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief charges, saying he broke a window to gain entry.

Officers responded around 6 a.m. to the reported burglary, Lt. Brian Beekman said,

Employees had arrived to open the business for the day when they found the man, and they saw an unauthorized person inside.

Officers found the man sleeping inside the business. An investigation determined he'd forced entry into the closed business by breaking a window. Beekman said he didn't take any items from the shop.

The man was arrested and lodged at the jail. NewsChannel 21 does not name arrested individuals until and unless they are formally charged.
