Jackpine Fire near La Pine grows 180 acres; Highway 97 back open
A wildfire that started southwest of La Pine Friday grew to 180 acres Saturday morning and was 0% contained. Highway 97 south of La Pine was back open. The Jackpine Fire is burning in the area south of Masten Road, east of Deer Forest Drive and West of Jackpine Loop. It was first reported before 3:00 p.m. Friday.
