Police: Bennington County man struck acquaintance, threatened cops
A Bennington County man is accused of hitting an acquaintance and threatening police. Vermont State Police responded to a residence on Dutch Haven Drive in Pownal at around 2:45 a.m. on Thursday for a report of a domestic incident. Tyler M. Wilford allegedly assaulted a person and destroyed their property.

Cambridge man charged after fiery truck crash in Vermont
A Cambridge man is facing charges after police said he was speeding and crashed his truck into a telephone pole in Bennington County. The crash happened just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Nethanel Woodcock, 23, was traveling on Route 67E near Lamb Road in his 2005 Chevrolet truck, when lost control of the truck during a bend in the road and nearly hit another vehicle head on, Vermont State Police said.
