Philadelphia Physician Dr. David L. Mattingly Settles for $72,000 in Improper Opioid Prescribing Allegations
The U.S. Attorney's Office in Eastern Pennsylvania has disclosed a settlement involving Dr. David L. Mattingly, a Philadelphia-area osteopathic physician, who faced allegations of improperly prescribing opioid medications. According to a press release, U.S. Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero stated that Dr. Mattingly has agreed to pay $72,000 to the government and is now subject to stringent restrictions that bar him from prescribing almost all controlled substances, including opioids such as oxycodone. The allegations stem from Dr. Mattingly's prescribing practices between February 2015 and September 2018, which were found to not fully comply with the Controlled Substances Act's requirements for legitimate medical purposes and customary professional practice.

DOYLESTOWN, PA—Hard work by two groups of students, one in the form of fundraising and other in the form of labor, has helped improve a piece of land in Buckingham. The project began when two groups of Central Bucks students reached out to the group Bucks Beautiful earlier this year with ideas for projects. West Rockhill Supervisors place Holiday House pool debt referendum on November ballot
The West Rockhill Board of Supervisors Wednesday evening approved a maximum $3 million debt referendum to renovate the Holiday House pool. The move follows the completion of a marketing study, which concluded that the 55-year-old pool, a joint venture of West Rockhill and Sellersville Borough, is approaching the end of its life span. The study projected renovation costs at $1 to $3 million.
Monmouth Junction and Kingston Fire to hold a Township-wide Motorcade for 100th Anniversary
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Monmouth Junction Volunteer Fire Department and the Kingston Volunteer Fire Company will have a motorcade around the township on Saturday in celebration of their 100th anniversary. Dozens of emergency vehicles will participate in this celebration, according to a press release. The motorcade will start at 11:30 AM from Campus Drive off of Route 1 south. The route will proceed southbound on Route 1. From there, the motorcade will travel onto Ridge Road, Heathcote Road, Route 27, and onto Promenade Blvd. The motorcade will cross over Route 1 onto Route 522, then will travel to Stouts Lane, Ridge Road, Kingston Lane, Georges Road, Culver Road, Friendship Road, and Broadway Road.
