Edenville passes budget Tuesday, reopens township offices
Edenville Township Board came to an agreement on the township's budget at its Tuesday, July 9 meeting. Due to the board's failure to pass the 2024-25 budget on June 25, the township offices were closed from July 1-9. Now that the budget has been approved, the offices reopened July 10.

McLean Nature Preserve guided walk to be held Sunday
McLean Nature Preserve will hold its Prairie Blazing Star Walk at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 14. The guided walk features summer meadow wildflowers and a wide variety of flowers that attract butterflies and offer excellent photo ops. 'Lord of the Gourd' Patrick Harrison to return to Midland July 17 for watermelon carving show
The Lord of the Gourd, Patrick Harrison, will return to the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library next week to put on an entertaining watermelon carving demonstration for all ages. Harrison will be carving his unique creations in the library's Orchard Room from 4 to 7 p.m. on July 17. Audience members will be able to ask him questions, approach the table to see his pieces up close and hear some of his many stories. Slices of watermelon will be available to eat, while supplies last.
