Bay City OK’s parking ban on West Side road citing safety concerns
BAY CITY, MI – Parking is no longer allowed on John F Kennedy Drive between the Veterans Memorial Bridge and the north side of the boat ramp access road. The Bay City Commission on Monday, July 15, approved a traffic control order prohibiting parking in the designated area, citing safety concerns.

Coleman man charged with domestic violence, assault with shotgun
A Coleman man reportedly pointed a shotgun at five people Monday night after seeing them moving items out of his house. Chad Konopnicki, 51, is lodged in the Midland County Jail on a $500,000 bond. He was arraigned Wednesday in Midland County District Court before Magistrate Gerald Ladwig and was charged with third offense domestic violence, six counts of felony firearms and five counts of felonious assault.
