Multiple fire departments respond to a fire that destroys a shop at a Benton County campground. The Warsaw Fire Protection District says crews responded to a fire alarm at Camp OBR on Golden Acres Road last night. When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the eaves of the shop building. Kansas man and woman caught with nearly 1.5 ounces of meth in Benton County
A man and a woman from Kansas are caught with nearly one-and-a-half ounces of methamphetamine in Benton County. Carlos Hernandez, 32, and Angela Barr, 49, both of Olathe, are both charged with second-degree drug trafficking and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Hernandez is also charged with five counts of possession of a controlled substance, and Barr with eight charges of possession of a controlled substance.

BENTON COUNTY, Mo - An initial hearing is scheduled tomorrow for two people from Olathe, Kansas who were arrested on drug charges in Benton County over the weekend. According to probable cause statements, a detective with the Benton County Sheriff's office pulled over a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Carlos Michael Hernandez of Olathe, Kansas just before 7 Friday evening. Both Hernandez and his passenger 49-year-old Angela Faith Barr claimed they were on their way to a weekend float trip. However, a criminal record check revealed that Hernandez had an active warrant for narcotics in Platte Couny. Hernandez was arrested for the warrant and a search of the vehicle was conducted.
