    Bentonville Best Friends Pet Resource Center takes in animals from Houston following hurricane

    BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Bentonville Best Friends Pet Resource Center is helping animals impacted by Hurricane Beryl.

    There has been an increase in lost pets around Houston, Texas due to Hurricane Beryl. So, the center in Bentonville took in 15 cats and dogs to help out.

    ‘Feed Your Brain’ program instills love of reading in Springdale youth

    “Primarily we focus on the local areas in the state of Arkansas,” said Michelle Logan, executive director of Best Friends Pet Resource Center. “However just like after the tornadoes came through here we had rescue and shelters in other states willing to help…this is why we stepped up for the Houston team at this time.”

    Logan says the organization’s mission is to help animal shelters find forever homes for their pets. So, the center jumped at the opportunity to help the Houston community.
