HOLLYWOOD, Md. – To highlight the deadly consequences of speeding, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the investigative findings of the fatal collision involving a motorcycle and a Hyundai Santa Fe that occurred on April 7, 2024, in Hollywood, MD. The motorcycle operator, Tiernan Anthony Stephenson, was pronounced dead at the scene, and a nine-year-old passenger in the Hyundai succumbed to injuries on April 12, 2024.

Lindsay Gutierrez, originally from Oklahoma, served in security forces for the U.S. Air Force from 2010 to 2016. After tours alongside her husband in both England and Georgia, she was transferred to Maryland to work with the Department of Defense. She currently lives in Ellicott City.
1 dead in DC shooting near Sycamore and Oak shopping center
WASHINGTON — Police are still searching for suspects in a shooting that left a man dead near the Sycamore and Oak shopping center in Southeast D.C. Sunday evening. Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the 1200 block of Oak Drive Southeast for a reported shooting just before 6 p.m. When officers got to the scene, they found a man shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police later identified the man killed as 32-year-old D'Andre Dixon of Southeast.
