A trendy DC-based restaurant brand is expanding for the first time into Northern Virginia. It’s called Immigrant Food and it’s coming to Ballston over in Arlington. Immigrant Food already has three locations in Washington. Now, it’s latest restaurant will open this Tuesday, July 23 at 4245 North Fairfax Drive. Marco’s Pizza closes location in southern Loudoun
The Marco’s Pizza restaurant in the South Riding/Chantilly area of southern Loudoun has closed its doors for good. The announcement was made today via social media. “It is with a heavy heart I inform you that Marco’s Pizza in South Riding has permanently closed for business as of yesterday,” co-owner Chris Browne wrote. “It has been a pleasure serving the community over the last seven years. Unfortunately, we were just unable to keep up with rising costs and have reached a point where staying in business has become unsustainable.”

Restored historic DC mini golf course re-opening this summer!
TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — The East Potomac Miniature Golf Course, America’s oldest continuously operating miniature golf course, and the only outdoor miniature golf course in Washington, D.C., was recently restored to much of its original 1931 splendor by Adventure Golf & Sports (AGS) and will be re-opening this summer. “We were very pleased to have been selected by National Links Trust to rehabilitate this course,” said Scott Lundmark, President of AGS. “This course is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and required exceptional attention to detail.”
Mega Millions ticket sold in Eastern Henrico wins $1M
A winning Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million was purchased at a 7-Eleven in Eastern Henrico County July 19, but the winner has not yet come forward. The winning numbers in the drawing were 10-17-23-50-67 with Mega Ball number 3. The Henrico ticket was the only one in Virginia and one of just three in the nation to match the first five numbers. The holder of the winning ticket has 180 days to claim his or her prize.
