Fishing report shows local conditions, best methods
The Department of Natural Resources’ weekly fishing report for July 10 shows some of the most current conditions in Manistee, Mason and Benzie counties. Lake Michigan anglers in Manistee caught salmon, lake trout and steelhead along the shelf in 150-200 feet of water when fishing 50-80 feet down straight out and south of the port.

WexExpress working to streamline access to rural transit information
CADILLAC — The state of Michigan recently launched a new program that aims to make the process of locating public transit options in rural areas more streamlined. The project is funded through a United States Department of Transportation grant and participating public transit agencies include Benzie Bus, Cadillac/Wexford Transit Authority (WexExpress), Charlevoix County Transit and Roscommon County Transportation Authority.
