Superintendent Amiee Erfourth said doors and windows still need to be installed, but the new facility&nbsp;should be ready by the end of fall. On Aug. 8, photos of the nearly complete facility <a href="https://www.facebook.com/benzieschools/posts/pfbid07EM9goWRVwhguNPaq4XeYe2f7DMHCEa4DeqrbDNfPoLRNmonYY4GLurdwB6HGUMcl" rel="nofollow"> were posted on the&nbsp;school district's Facebook page. </a> "We're hoping to move in sometime in September," she said. "We're excited to provide a new, modern space for drivers and we are excited about the bus wash since the buses travel so many roads and there is so much salt on them during northern Michigan winters." The bus garage will have have two bays and two hoists that will allow maintenance crews to work on more than one bus at a time. The bus garage also will have a washing station. <a href="https://www.recordpatriot.com/news/article/northern-michigan-school-improving-bussing-new-18589459.php" rel="nofollow"> In previous reports, Erfourth </a> said modern busses were getting too big to fit in the district's previous garage at Severance Street, near the former Crystal Lake Elementary School. She also said the new garage is in a more central location. A new bus garage was part of the <a href="https://www.recordpatriot.com/local-news/article/Fourth-time-s-the-charm-nbsp-Benzie-voters-15701597.php" rel="nofollow"> school district's 2020 plans for $38.685 million in bond projects </a> , but the rising cost of construction and delays in shipping building material <a href="https://www.recordpatriot.com/news/article/Benzie-Central-School-Board-makes-tough-decisions-16770768.php" rel="nofollow"> put the project on hold. </a> Work on the garage started in the spring after the <a href="https://benzieschools.net/22699-2/" rel="nofollow"> Benzie County Central Schools Board of Education </a> voted in December to approve a bid of $3 million&nbsp;to build it. </div></body>
