According to a recently submitted permit application, a new eatery listed as Anja’s is debuting in Berkeley.

Coming to 1966 University Avenue , taking over a 782-square-foot spot formerly home to Garden Variety, the concept will land near establishments such as BurgerIM Berkeley, Rose Pizzeria, and The Butcher’s Son Vegan Delicatessen & Bakery.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s owner, Anja Voth , to inquire about the restaurant, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, according to the filing, locals can expect Anja’s to be a “fast-casual restaurant serving organic made-from-scratch meals, baked goods, and beer and wine.”

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
