Man attacked and carjacked Uber driver, prosecutors say
Chicago police detectives were able to identify the man who attacked and carjacked an Uber driver because he ordered the rideshare on an account linked to his driver’s license, officials said. Judge Caroline Glennon-Goodman rejected a state detention petition and sent Juan Salgado, 38, home on an ankle monitor.

CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago Police have found the Dodge Durango connected with the shooting death of a Chicago postal worker. However, it is unclear how much evidence they will be able to recover because that vehicle has been torched. Police found the Durango in the 8900 block of South Holland Avenue. Pritzker enacts 68 bills impacting drivers, immigrants, child victims, mobile homes
(The Center Square) – Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed 68 bills Friday that affect drivers, those who violate immigration laws, victims of child abuse, mobile homes and more. During the spring session that ended in May, the Illinois General Assembly approved more than 450 bills out of both chambers. CHICAGO - Brookfield Zoo has announced the addition of several new animals, which includes emus, a sloth bear, and a puggle. In late June, three 3-month-old emus arrived at the Zoo. The one male and two females are adjusting to their outdoor habitat alongside kangaroos at Australia House. Emus, the second-largest birds in the world, are flightless and can sprint up to 30 mph, according to the zoo. The young emus have already gained 25% of their body weight in the past month.
