Son of CCR’s Doug Clifford Arrested In Connection With Homicide And Missing Person Cases
Brent Clifford, the son of Creedence Clearwater Revival drummer Doug Clifford, was arrested in Portola, California on Wednesday, August 14th. The arrest is tied to a homicide in Nevada along with a missing person case in California. A warrant for Clifford’s arrest was sent out by the Reno Police Department regarding the shooting death of William Andrews. On Sunday (August 11th), Andrews was found dead with a gunshot wound to his head. Authorities also allege that Clifford stole Andrews’ car and used it to flee the murder scene. Clifford’s girlfriend, Patricia Portella-Wright, was also reported missing on Friday (August 9th), and was believed to be in a vehicle that matched the description of Andrews’ Chevrolet Blazer. Clifford was arrested in Andrews’ vehicle after being spotted on a highway 50 miles northwest of Reno. On Thursday (August 15), an unidentified body that is believed to be Portella-Wright was found along a highway in Washoe County, Nevada. (Consequence of Sound)
