NC Stop Human Trafficking Founder Pam Strickland was elected by the North Carolina Coalition Against Human Trafficking as its new chairperson, citing her extensive experience and activism in the anti-human trafficking movement in the state.

“I am honored to be named the new chair of NCCAHT,” Strickland said. “NCCAHT is a coalition that can make a great impact across the state, and I am glad to be able to lead a coalition of like-minded agencies, advocates, and organizations. No one agency can end human trafficking alone, but together, we can see a state free of human trafficking.”

Strickland served as a co-chair of NCCAHT in 2016 and brings a wealth of experience due to her past service and her work building localized coalitions in Eastern North Carolina.

Strickland founded NC Stop Human Trafficking in 2010. NC Stop Human Trafficking is the premiere training and technical assistance organization in the state. It has developed and continues to facilitate the Pitt County Coalition Against Human Trafficking and the Pitt County Human Trafficking Multidisciplinary Team. It is one of three agencies that founded the North Carolina Demand Reduction Task Force.
