Police identify driver in deadly 18-wheeler crash in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge Police identified the driver who was killed in an 18-wheeler crash on I-10 East Monday morning. According to police, Jamoliddin Tokhirov, 38, was driving a 2022 Freightliner Semi Tractor headed east on I-10, near the Highland Road exit. Investigators said for unknown reasons, the tractor-trailer hit the inside concrete barrier and traveled across multiple lanes before hitting the concrete guardrail and the outside guardrail.

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a Monday shooting that left one person injured near Scenic Highway. Officers were called to a shooting in the 900 block of Marsh Street around 2:05 p.m. Monday, July 22. Police said a shooting victim was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle. They said his injuries were not life-threatening.
Total Quality Logistics to open Baton Rouge office, create 98 new jobs
Total Quality Logistics, a global freight brokerage and logistics firm headquartered in Cincinnati, is opening a new office in Baton Rouge. TQL is the second-largest freight brokerage in North America and one of the world’s largest third-party logistics firms, according to Louisiana Economic Development. Two Women Arrested in Ongoing Narcotics Investigation
Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced narcotics agents made two arrests in an ongoing investigation into a drug dealer in the Galliano area. Agents had been investigating Wendy Kieff, 45, of Galliano, and arrested her on Saturday. She was accompanied by Tessy Gaubert, 52, of Larose, who was also found in possession of narcotics.
