Rep. Hageman Votes Yes On Interior Appropriations Bill That Blocks Buffalo And Rock Springs RMPs, Delists GYE Grizzly
Congresswoman Harriet Hageman is voting in favor of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act of 2025 – a bill that is extremely favorable to the needs of Wyomingites. Four amendments offered by Representative Hageman were included in the final bill, as well as language to delist the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem Grizzly Bear.

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The U.S. Forest Service reports that 15 new fire starts have been detected in the past 24 hours in Idaho, with more expected. Strong winds and thunderstorms across eastern Oregon and western Idaho Wednesday further complicated matters for fire managers as resources are already stretched thin. The National Weather Service in Boise reports 2,800 lightning strikes came from the storms on Wednesday, leading Forest Service personnel to believe more fires could soon be detected.

A 56-year-old woman died while hiking near a state park in southwestern Utah over the weekend after running out of water on a sweltering day, officials said. Emergency crews responded near Quail Creek State Park on Sunday to a report of a hiker "in distress due to not having enough water and the temperature being 106 degrees Fahrenheit," the Hurricane City Police Department said in a statement.
