Lehi City’s first female police officer and longtime public servant, Kathy Stewart, passed away on July 20, 2024. Stewart served in the Lehi Police Department for 14 years. She was an ardent advocate for teens and was President of the D.A.R.E Officers Association, a statewide organization that shared information about the dangers of teen drug use. She is remembered for her kind and loving nature, even as a police officer.

Park City plans to open some trails to e-bikes… but 68% of locals are opposed to the change
More and more trail systems nationwide are considering allowing class 1 pedal-assist e-bikes on their non-motorized singletrack or have already given the green light. Well, we can now add Park City, UT, to the list of areas that once said “no” to e-bikes and may soon make some changes. Cause of Wednesday’s Provo Canyon fire unknown
PROVO, Utah — An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire that started near the mouth of Provo Canyon on Wednesday night. According to Provo Fire and Rescue Capt. Jeanie Atherton the Provo Canyon fire started around 11 p.m. The fire burned on the northbound side of Interstate 189 where Canyon Road merges with University Avenue. Atherton said the fire was on the hillside to the east.
