Teen girl dies at hospital after Minneapolis shooting
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - A teenager who was shot in Minneapolis last week has died from her injuries, authorities said. Lonnaya I'zanay Warren-Loyd, 17, was found with gunshot wounds by police near Dowling Avenue North and Fremont Avenue North around 9:36 p.m. on July 7 after officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation and a report of a shooting.
Mother of man convicted of 2022 murder charged with being an accomplice after the fact
MINNEAPOLIS — The mother of a man serving time in prison for murder is now herself facing charges, a year and a half after the alleged crime. The charges stem from the November 2022 death of Zaria McKeever. Her ex-boyfriend, Erick Haynes, was accused of recruiting two juveniles to "deal" with her new boyfriend, but the criminal complaint said they shot McKeever in her Brooklyn Park apartment.
