Person seriously hurt in Montgomery County collision

The fire was contained in the storage room, which housed some contents. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service’s spokesperson, Pete Piringer, said the fire likely involved a lithium battery.

Some people evacuated the apartment and others were asked to shelter in place.

One person slipped and fell. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

A hazmat crew responded to the fire, Piringer said.
