Nonprofit donates $10K to help find children with medical conditions who wander away from home
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kosair for Kids (KFK) has honored their mission to help children by donating $12 million to organizations who will provide life-changing assistance to children within the nine counties they serve. On Tuesday, the nonprofit gave more than $10,000 to the Jefferson County Search Dog Association (JCSDA).
KDA joins forces with Special Olympics Kentucky to raise awareness about Sunshine Class
FRANKFORT — The Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) is partnering with Special Olympics Kentucky to raise awareness for the Sunshine Class at the Kentucky State Fair. The Sunshine Class, now in its third year, offers an opportunity for special needs youth to get hands-on experience with parts of the agriculture industry by showing livestock in a show ring.
Goodwill Industries of Kentucky offers “Another Way” to help the homeless
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A program born in Louisville has now made it’s way to Bowling Green and is hoping to bring big change to the homeless community. In 2021 a project was started to help aid the homeless population in Louisville which became a big success and now has come down to Bowling Green to hopefully do the same. It’s called the “Another Way” program and gives unhoused people a chance to re-enter the workforce. Team members will go out every Tuesday and Thursday to various encampments and simply ask if anyone would like to make a little money that day.

Andy Beshear sent a letter to Anne Milgram, administrator for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) on Wednesday, expressing his support of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ recommendation that the DEA ease restrictions on marijuana. Epic Deal With Walmart Might Bring This Pizza To Missouri
Last Thursday, Mr. Gatti's Pizza announced a partnership with Walmart to bring Mr. Gatti's Pizza to 92 Walmart stores in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Kentucky. Another rain chance Wednesday ahead of a pleasant end to the week
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Happy Wednesday! FINALLY, some beneficial rain for most of central and eastern Kentucky. The late night rain and early morning rain has exited but we aren’t done yet. Another round of scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms is expected. This is ahead of the highly anticipated cold front that will bring us a very refreshing feel for the end of the week. However, muggy conditions will remain with us on Wednesday ahead of the front. Though, temperatures will take a hit. Afternoon highs will struggle to reach the mid-80s for most, expect for southern and southeastern Kentucky where we could still reach the upper 80s and near 90. Rainfall amounts will be scattered from the rain later today into the evening, with most areas receiving light amounts with isolated heavier downpours possible.
