On Monday, elementary summer school students at Sheridan Preparatory Academy received a free, brand-new book of their choosing, thanks to our fabulous community partners!. With the support of CDPHP, Grassroot Givers sponsored Tuesday’s “Book Bike,” an earth-friendly mobile library that’s transported by bicycle throughout the community. District literacy coach Carey Fusco pedaled the portable library from Grassroot Givers on Washington Avenue to Sheridan Prep on Sheridan Avenue, and students had a chance to pick from hundreds of age-appropriate titles.
