Man admits abducting N.J. business owner, demanding ransom from his family
One of two men who kidnapped a business owner in New Jersey and drove him across state lines in a U-Haul truck pleaded guilty to federal charges on Monday. Reginald Law, 38, of Queens, New York, pleaded guilty to kidnapping and Hobbs Act robbery, the U.S. Attorney’s Office District of New Jersey said in a news release.

NYPD: Loaded guns, ammo found in car during routine traffic stop on Staten Island
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Brooklyn man is facing multiple charges after a routine traffic stop on Staten Island found him in possession of two loaded firearms, police said. Rogers Ritson, 36, of the 1100 block of Glenmore Avenue in Brooklyn, has been charged with several felonies, including two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, for having a loaded firearm and explosive bullets, police said. He’s also facing unregistered vehicle and unsafe turn/failure-to-signal violations.
