    '90s Halloween Decor

Among Pinterest users, the Halloween decor trend of the year isn't new at all. Lean into seasons of witches past, and embrace the nostalgic decor from your childhood home.

"As Zoomers and Millennials grapple with adulthood, nostalgia is creeping in," the Trend Report reads.

Searches for "'90s Halloween decorations" increased by 140% and "vintage Halloween" by 50%. While previously-mentioned decade seems to be all that and a bag of chips when it comes to home trends this season, "'70s Halloween decor" is also having a moment with a 50% increase in searches.

So even though this year's costumes are leaning dark and edgy, with "romantic gothic makeup" rising 710% and "clown makeup looks" up by 1,870%, you should channel a more cozy, mismatched Halloween aesthetic in your home. Incorporate classic orange decor and feature jack-o'-lanterns , skeletons, and black cats. Add a traditional scarecrow or bedsheet ghosts to your front porch to welcome the season (and trick-or-treaters).

    Bohemian Halloween

Christmas isn't the only holiday getting a dose of whimsy this year. According to the Trend Report, If you're not craving a nostalgic Halloween for your home this year, consider going boho.

Searches for "Hippie Halloween decor" increased by 190% and "boho Halloween" by 85%. This year's costumes are also coming up pink with "Main Character" costumes taking over: " Wicked Halloween costume" increased by 890% while "Carrie Bradshaw costume" and "Elle Woods bunny costume" rose by 130% and 110% respectively.

If you decide to try the boho Halloween look, incorporate plenty of pastel tones like pink, orange, and lavender. Play with pom-poms, ghost throw pillows, and DIY garlands to hang on your mantle or banister . Searches for " disco Halloween decor " also rose by 175%, showing that people are channeling a glittery and groovy '70s-inspired space.

Classic Party Foods with Ghoulish Twists

Foods that feature spooky (but mostly cute) ghosts are set to be the Halloween party snack of the year. Searches for "ghost pizza" (pizza with cheesy ghost toppings) have increased by 850% with "ghost brownies" following behind with a 200% search increase.

"Festive and creative twists on classic party foods will lead the way this Halloween season," the Trend Report reads. "This year’s Halloween food trends add a fun, festive atmosphere to gatherings and provide a creative way to enjoy spooky treats."

To be the guest whose potluck table is cleared out by the end of the night, add ghoulish touches to traditional party foods like pizza, sliders, and nachos by creating faces with toppings or cutouts. For desserts, make ghost shapes from frosting or marshmallow cream on brownies, cookies, and cupcakes .
