On May 9, PK and Dorit Kemsley posted a joint Instagram statement announcing the separation of their nine-year marriage. At the time, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple claimed they needed time to “reevaluate” their relationship.

“We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage,” the couple said. “We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together. To safeguard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children.”

But just a few weeks later, at the end of June, the announcement vanished from Instagram. What does this mean?

Are the Kemsleys back together?

Married in 2015, the Kemsleys share two children: Jagger, 10, and Phoenix, 8. Viewers have watched PK and Dorit bicker for years over the time he spends away from home. Things came to a head in 2021 following a home invasion while PK was away. The experience left Dorit with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). At the time, there were rumors that PK moved out as soon as that season’s filming ended.

In April, RHOBH producers threatened to revoke Dorit’s diamond if she didn’t come clean, a source told The Daily Mail . Unless she shared the full story about her marriage, she would be demoted to “friend of” status on the show.

The couple’s separation was announced just after filming began for Season 14. Just a few weeks later, PK shared on his Instagram that he had stopped drinking and was six months sober.

When the original Instagram post disappeared, fans were understandably curious about what was going on with Dorit and PK. Did they have a change of heart?

“Maybe the separation announcement is turning into a ‘we are getting a divorce’ announcement?” one fan speculated.

“He recently posted he was 6 months sober maybe that was a requirement she had for a reconciliation?‍” another wondered.

“No, this means the season is about to start and they need to stir things up for ratings,” a realist observed.

Dorit and PK previously swore they would never split up. But in late 2023, they stated the status of their marriage. While admitting their relationship was challenging at times, “We remain committed to working through these issues as a united couple for our family.”

“We have not separated nor are we planning to do so,” they told People . “Rather, we are focused on healing, making changes, and doing the things that many couples have to do at some point in their marriage.”

The statement was released after rumors surfaced that PK had left their shared home and was living at a Beverly Hills hotel.
