Jennifer Tilly Teases RHOBH Season 14: ‘Scarier Than Chucky’

Filming has begun on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14. Two new cast members are joining the show this season: Housewife Bozoma Saint John and Friend of the Housewives Jennifer Tilly .

“Oh my God, it’s insane,” Jennifer shared about her new gig. “It’s, like, scarier than Chucky. I’ll tell you that. I’m not a Housewife. I’m a Friend of, which is a lot easier. You just dip in and out. You try to avoid flying shrapnel. And you know, if drinks are thrown, I have good reflexes so I can duck.”

Sitting next to her was her friend and Bound co-star Gina Gershon, who was enthusiastic. “You’ll be great on that,” she said. “They approached me, [but] I was too scared. But you know what? You’re going to be genius on that. You’ll take over that whole set, Jen, I have no doubt.”

Not her first rodeo

This is not Jennifer’s first time in the RHOBH neighborhood. She made a couple of guest appearances in Season 13 as a favor to her close friend Sutton Stracke . Coincidentally, Sutton also began her tenure on the show as a Friend of the Housewives in Season 10.

Prior to the announcement of her promotion , Jennifer shared with Variety why she made those guest appearances which featured her going to lunch with Sutton or visiting her store.

Jennifer laughed that she was “miscast as the sympathetic best friend” brought in to interrogate Sutton about her dating life. “I was the Barbara Walters of the episode,” she chuckled, confessing the role was tricky since she prefers being the center of attention. But as a huge RHOBH fan, she was just happy to be there.

“It was really fun,” Jennifer admitted. “I just did a couple of episodes, as a favor to Sutton for coming on Chucky. But it was super fun and a thrill for me. I am a superfan. I was like, ‘Oh my God, here I am meeting all these ladies I’ve been watching for 14 years.’ Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction for real.”

Sutton made her acting debut on a Season 2 episode of Jennifer’s Syfy and USA Network series as a favor to her friend. It should be fun to watch the two pals film together. Hopefully, she’ll bring some new storylines and we can all stop talking about Kyle Richards .
