Parents jailed after child makes 911 call
CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - Two parents are in jail after their child reportedly called the police, thinking the mother was dead. On June 28, police say the girl called, saying that she could not wake her mother up. When police arrived at the home, the girl and her mother Danielle Asher, came to the door. The father, Robert Herren was found later.
Hazard Health and Rehabilitation residents get fireworks show
Dr. John Jones with Primary Care Centers of Eastern Kentucky, contributed his annual donation of fireworks for the Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center June 28. Residents of the long-term care facility were able to conveniently watch a fireworks display from the comfort of the parking lot of the center to celebrate Independence Day.

Recent all-star selection Tyrese Maxey — who also received the Most Improved Player of the Year award this past season — signed a max contract extension worth more than $203 million over five years. Maxey joined Immanuel Quickley and Malik Monk as former Wildcats to sign a contract extension this offseason. Quickley signed a five-year contract worth $175 million with Toronto, while Monk signed a contract worth $78 million (four seasons) with the Kings.
One Dead and Seven Injured in Kentucky Nightclub Shooting
A tragic incident occurred outside the H20 Lounge in Kentucky early Tuesday morning, resulting in the death of one individual and leaving seven others wounded. Motorcycle Crash in Princeton Claims Life of 15-Month-Old Child
Police are investigating a motorcycle wreck in Princeton that claimed the life of a child Friday night. Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison reported that the accident occurred around 6:45 p.m. near the 300 block of Beverly Lane. He said 47-year-old Joseph Traylor of Princeton was driving a motorcycle with a 15-month-old passenger when the motorcycle ran off the road and struck a telephone pole.
