Off-duty SAPD officer arrested for terroristic threat of family
SAN ANTONIO — An off-duty San Antonio Police officer was arrested on Sunday on charges of terroristic threat of family, police say. Andrew Gonzalez has been with SAPD for eight years. The victim filed a police report with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, July 14, and Gonzalez was arrested the same day.

Father sentenced to life in prison in child abuse case
SAN ANTONIO – A 36-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison Monday for causing injuries to his child, according to the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office. Frank Hughes, 36, was found guilty of serious bodily injury to a child in April after deciding to try his case against 437th District Court Judge Joel Perez.
