Officials identify San Antonio teen who was found shot to death
A teenager found dead of multiple gunshot wounds in early July has been identified, Bexar County officials say. The shooting victim was 19-year-old Alexis Jose Vegas, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office. On July 1, Vegas was found lying on a grassy embankment in the 6200 block of U.S. 281. A witness reported seeing Vegas “not moving” and alerted emergency officials. Vegas was pronounced dead at the scene.

Suspect sentenced to life after 5-month-old was found seriously injured
SAN ANTONIO - A man convicted of severely injuring his 5-month-old child has been sentenced to life in prison. The Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s Office released a statement Monday afternoon that Frank Hughes, 36, was sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of knowingly causing serious bodily injury to a child.
