MACON, Ga. (WGXA) — New photos have been released of the person suspected of killing 59-year-old Albert Knight in a Downtown Macon alley last month. According to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office (BCSO), the body was found near the intersection of Poplar Street and Second Street Sunday morning.
Macon-Bibb County Health Department Donates Life Jackets To Local Pools
MACON, Ga. (WGXA) -- On Wednesday June 26, the Macon-Bibb County Health Department donated 90 life jackets to be used across its five public pools. Joy Knight Harris, the department's health education supervisor, worked closely with the county’s Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation, Armand Burnett over the course of two months to make the donation happen.

Macon man leaves son in car to flee Bibb Co. deputies
Deputy D. Mobbs was notified of a FLOCK camera hit on a stolen vehicle in the area of Pio Nono and Mercer University Drive on June 9. The suspect later fled on foot from the deputy, leaving his young son behind. According to the report from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, Mobbs was patrolling the area when he spotted the vehicle on Poppy Avenue, and the driver, Kentavist Brakeez Jackson, of 6658 Sherrell Drive, sped off out of sight.
State Gang Prosecution Unit expanding into Macon
ATLANTA - The statewide Gang Prosecution Unit Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr created in 2022 is about to expand its operations. Starting Monday, a newly hired prosecutor and a new investigator will oversee the unit's regional efforts in Macon-Bibb County. Currently, the unit is based in Atlanta, Albany, and Augusta.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to be on the lookout for the suspect in the killing of Mr. Albert Knight in a Downtown Macon alleyway. The agency recently released newer photographs of the suspect in the killing. He appears to be wearing the same shirt that he wore in the previous screenshots released when he was captured near where Mr. Knight's body was found.
