The Arrowhead Queen Reigns
Captain Adrian Sinden, a native of Kent in the United Kingdom, is one of the five boat captains who navigate and narrate stories of Lake Arrowhead aboard the Arrowhead Queen. He immigrated to the United States soon after September 11, 2001. He had been frustrated in his attempts to apply for a visa, but he surmises that because his application was well underway when 9/11 caused visa applications to grind to a near halt, he was admitted to the US. He first lived beside a beach in Florida, then moved to California when the majority of his and his wife’s children and grandchildren opted to settle there. His life path had led him to serve in the Royal Air Force, and as part of his general training, he received survival training which included boat-related survival. His uncle had a cabin cruiser which he had enjoyed in his younger years, and he had owned a ski boat while working in financial services in Bahrain. He and his wife even contemplated living aboard a boat in Daytona Beach, Florida where they lived when they first immigrated to the US, but the family’s westward movement interrupted that idea.
