CRAIG COUNTY, Okla. — Multiple law enforcement agencies worked to catch a man they say fled a traffic stop at high speed.

In a Facebook post , the Craig County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) said a deputy came into contact with Johnathon Stanley, 39, around 5 a.m. Thursday on Highway 169 in Big Cabin.

According to CCSO, Stanley was possibly intoxicated. A traffic stop was initiated, but Stanley drove off at a high rate of speed. After a short chase, Stanley crashed his car and ran off on foot.

With assistance from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Cherokee Nation Marshalls and the Craig County Technical Task Force, Stanley was caught in Big Cabin.

Stanley was booked into Craig County Jail for eluding a police officer.

FOX23 will follow this for updates.
