Rome, Georgia is home to the AWESOME today,. After the passing of his mother, 11-year-old Kayden wanted to help cover her funeral costs. For days he stood on the side of the road selling hot dogs with a sign that read, “Please Help Bury my Mama.” A passerby saw Kayden and shared his story on social media, which led to an outpouring of support from the community and beyond. His fundraising goal was $7,100. Thanks to the generosity of strangers from all over the country, the fundraising page has surpassed $80,000.
