Latah County Sheriff’s Office To Launch New High Tech Body Cam And Evidence Record Keeping System Friday
MOSCOW - The ultimate in law enforcement technology is now being utilized by the Latah County Sheriff’s Office. The agency is launching a new system which integrates cutting edge technology for deputy body and car cameras and evidence record keeping. The sheriff’s office received a nearly half a million dollar federal grant from the U.S. Department of Justice for the system from a company called Utility out of Georgia. Federal dollars paid for the system, the installation into deputy patrol vehicles and training.

PULLMAN - A strong run of spring chinook salmon is allowing a one day reopening of the fishing season for a small section of the Lower Snake River in Washington. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is opening springer fishing for Friday only below Little Goose Dam South of LaCrosse. The daily limit is four hatchery spring chinook with up to two adults.

7th Annual Free Snake River Family Festival Saturday At Boyer Park & Marina
COLFAX - The Port of Whitman County’s 7th Annual Snake River Family Festival is coming up on Saturday at Boyer Park & Marina. Orofino Police Sergeant Passes Away due to Cardiac Event
OROFINO - The Orofino Police Department announced Wednesday morning that Sergeant Michael Deitrick has passed away. According to Orofino Police Chief Vincent Frazier, Deitrick suffered a cardiac event at his home on Tuesday night.
