83-Year-Old Woman Seriously Injured After Being Gored by Bison at Yellowstone Park
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK - An 83-year-old woman sustained "serious injuries" after being gored by a wild bison at Yellowstone National Park, officials said on Monday. The woman, from Greenville, South Carolina, was visiting the park on June 1 when a bison came within a few feet of her and lifted her about a foot off the ground with its horns, according to a statement from the National Park Service.

OAKESDALE - The Port of Whitman County Commissioners have decided to move ahead with a plan to take over ownership of the historic mill in Oakesdale. The Innovia Foundation asked the port board about owning the J.C. Barron Mill in April. The regional foundation told the port that they were buying the building to save the historic structure. Moscow organic farmer Mary Jane Butters had the mill up for sale following a 2022 report that she was going to deconstruct the historic structure and move it.
