Deputies Recover Stolen Truck and Trailer in Colfax Golf Cart Theft Investigation
COLFAX - On Sunday evening, Whitman County Deputies served a search warrant at a 5800 Block of Garfield Farmington Road residence. This action was part of an ongoing investigation into a theft at a golf course earlier in June. Information from a separate narcotics case indicated that the truck and trailer used in the theft would be found at the residence.
LC State Launches Master’s in Nursing, its First Full Master’s Degree
LEWISTON – For the past 60 years, Lewis-Clark State College has expertly served the healthcare education needs of north Idaho, being the only public four-year institution offering nursing and allied health professions degrees in Idaho Regions 1 and 2. This fall, thanks to recent approval from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), its accrediting body, the college will offer a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
Investigators Unable to Pinpoint Cause of February’s Pullman Area Storage Building Fire
PULLMAN - Investigators were unable to pinpoint the cause of February’s blaze that destroyed a Pullman area storage building. The City of Pullman Fire Department’s Fire Marshal Darren Jones has completed his investigation into the February 8th blaze. The cause of the fire is undetermined although Marshal Jones says it was likely an accident.
U of I Releases Spring Semester Dean’s List
MOSCOW - The University of Idaho is pleased to make available the 2024 Spring Dean’s List. A total of 2,922 students qualified for the Dean’s List for the Spring 2024 semester, which ended May 10. To qualify for the Dean’s List, U of I students must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA on a minimum of 12 graded credits during the semester.
Molly Ryan Joins Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests as Acting Forest Supervisor
KAMIAH - Molly Ryan will be joining the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests as acting Forest Supervisor on July 1, 2024 and will be serving for 120 days. Molly’s temporary assignment comes after Cheryl Probert’s retirement after a decade of leading the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest. Acting, or temporary, positions allow the Forest Service to keep critical roles in the organization filled, while providing beneficial job experience to the individual in the acting role. Regional Forester Leanne Marten stated: “I am very excited to have Molly as Acting Forest Supervisor on the Nez Perce Clearwater National Forest. She brings a wealth of experience, including but not limited to, working closely with Tribes, members of the public, local/state/county government agencies and employees to meet the needs of the land and people.”
No Charges Filed From Last Winter’s Brawl in Moscow That Involved UI Football Players
MOSCOW - Charges will not be filed from the brawl last winter in Moscow that involved University of Idaho football players. The incident occurred on February 10th at UI student Timmy Reed’s off campus apartment. Reed’s Moscow attorney Tim Gresback held a press conference in April about the alleged fight. Gresback says Reed was going to host a party with his Beta Theta Pi fraternity roommates when a large crowd of students arrived uninvited. Some in the crowd were allegedly wearing masks and carrying PVC pipes. When Reed asked the crowd to leave Gresback reported that a Vandal football player sucker punched him knocking him unconscious, breaking his nose and causing a concussion. Gresback denied claims that the attack was a response to racial insults that were directed at the crowd.

IDAHO FALLS - Police are investigating an altercation that resulted in a shooting on Saturday night, shortly before midnight. According to Idaho Falls Police, officers responded after callers to 911 reported an altercation and shooting. When police arrived, in the area of the area of 330 N Capital Avenue, an adult male was found who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds in a parking lot.

Lewiston Woman Dead After Sunday Evening Crash on US12 Near Lenore
LEWISTON - A Lewiston woman died following a crash on US12 near Lenore late Sunday afternoon. According to police, a silver Honda Accord, driven by a 36-year-old female from Lewiston, was traveling eastbound on US12 at milepost 29, approximately 2 miles east of Lenore. At about 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, the woman drove left of center, causing a westbound gray 2018 Hyundai Tucson to swerve. The Honda then lost control, striking a white 2020 Ford Explorer, driven by a 48-year-old female from Potlatch, also traveling westbound.

20-Year-Old Woman Dies After Saturday Night Motorcycle Crash on Southern Idaho Highway
ADA COUNTY - Idaho State Police are investigating a single-vehicle fatality crash that occurred Saturday evening. According to police, at 8:29 p.m., a 20-year-old-female from Meridian, was riding a 2024 Yamaha YZFR3 on Highway 21 at milepost 9.5, just east of Lucky Peak Dam in Ada County.
