Post Falls Man Sentenced to Prison for Lewd Conduct With two Children
COEUR D'ALENE - According to the Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, 29-year-old Derek J. Thomson was convicted of LEWD conduct with a Minor under Sixteen. Thomson engaged in sexual contact with two minor children between September 2018 and September 2023. The abuse occurred while the minor children were between 3-8 and 2-7 years old and included manual-genital contact against the children.
Apple Faces Antitrust Lawsuit for Alleged Smartphone Market Monopoly
SEATTLE - Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced today that he will join the U.S. Department of Justice and a bipartisan coalition of 20 attorneys general in an antitrust lawsuit against Apple. The lawsuit, initially filed on March 21 in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, accuses Apple of unlawfully monopolizing the smartphone market.

CLARKSTON - A Clarkston 18-year-old was arrested Monday in relation to an alleged assault and serious injury of a 15-year-old boy in late May. According to court documents, on the evening of May 29, Clarkston Police responded to a report of an assault in the area of 900 Bridge Street. An alleged altercation had taken place between Aiden Hollace and a 15-year-old male, also from Clarkston.
