Police Identify Driver That Allegedly Knocked out Stoplights at 10th and Thain
LEWISTON - The stoplights at the intersection of 10th Street and Thain Road in Lewiston were knocked-out of service by a hit and run driver early Friday morning. At 1:16 a.m. on Friday, Lewiston Police were dispatched to a property damage accident in the area of 10th Street and Thain Road. Washington Charter School Commission Votes To Close Pullman Community Montessori
The Washington State Charter School Commission is moving ahead with its intent to close the only charter school on the Washington side of the Palouse. The commission voted on Friday to draft a resolution to revoke the charter for the troubled Pullman Community Montessori school. The board decided in March to begin the process to close the school after hearing several complaints from families. Commission staff conducted a comprehensive investigation into PCM and found several areas where the school was violating its charter with the state. Those issues include severe bullying, threats of retaliation from the former head of school, and struggling finances. There have been 72 complaints filed against PCM so far this year.
