Chamber Celebrates Opening of Ballard’s Fine Art Gallery
The Chamber celebrated the opening of the new location for new member, Ballard’s Fine Art Gallery, with an Ambassadors’ ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 23 S. Main St. in Sheridan. Ballard’s is a fine art gallery representing more than 40 artists featuring all original paintings and bronze work from all over the United States and more. Kim Lassiter is the owner. A grand opening celebration for the gallery will be held Friday, July 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. All are welcome. City to Apply for Loans for South Downtown Project
The City of Sheridan will apply for two loans for an infrastructure project located just south of the Sheridan County Courthouse that encompasses south Main Street to the east, west College to the south, west Whitney to the north, and up to Thurmond to the west. The City Council approved two separate resolutions at their business meeting Monday night authorizing the submission of a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan application in the amount of $2.4 million and a Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan application in the amount of $2.6 million to fund the Sheridan South Downtown project. Game and Fish Commission to meet in Buffalo
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department have announced the Commission’s next meeting is July 15-16 in Buffalo. According to the department, the meeting will begin with a field tour that will provide an overview of fish passage work on Clear Cleek, the Monument Boat Ramp and the Bud Love Wildlife Habitat Management Area. The remainder of the meeting will be held at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center, 63 N. Burritt Ave. The public is invited to attend in-person or online via ZOOM video conferencing and will have a chance to speak to the Commission on any matter.
