    Drivers killed in wrong way head-on crash in Tye identified

    TYE, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – Both drivers killed in a wrong way head-on collision in Tye have been identified.

    Ebinson Jonael Cordova Ramirez, of Portales, New Mexico, and Syed Sulman Haider, of Conroe, Texas, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on I-20 near mile marker 278 early Sunday morning.

    Investigators say Ramirez entered the highway from the off ramp and began driving westbound in the eastbound lanes, eventually crashing into in Haider’s truck head-on. Two other vehicles were also involved in the crash, but no injuries other injuries were reported.

    Preliminary information suggested alcohol could have been a factor in this fatal crash, but investigators are still waiting on blood lab results for confirmation.
