    BIG COUNTRY, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – Fentanyl is making headlines, and it’s no different here in the Big Country. For years, we have covered drug deals, deaths, and efforts to mitigate the deadly drug. Now, KTAB’s ‘Confronting the Fentanyl Crisis’ special will air on Thursday at 6:00 p.m., followed by a panel of local experts discussing the matter in an online forum.

    ‘It’s a silent killer’: A closer look at the fight against fentanyl trafficking in the Big Country

    The Confronting the Fentanyl Crisis special will air on KTAB at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8. Following the special, a web forum will take place at 6:30 p.m. right here on BigCountryHomepage.

    • Taylor County Health Authority’s Dr. Gary Holland

    Fentanyl presence on the rise in Big Country: ‘We’re seeing fentanyl laced in everything’

    Among the topics of discussion are how to determine if something is laced with fentanyl, what to do if you come in contact, signs of an overdose, the frequency of occurrence in our community, educating the community and more.
